1. Information we collect

Account and authentication information

We process your name, email address, account preferences, and authentication information. The extension may store an authentication token and basic account details locally so you can remain signed in. Passwords are transmitted to our service for authentication and are not stored by the extension.

Profile, resume, and application information

You may provide contact information, location, employment history, education, skills, certifications, professional links, work authorization, job preferences, resume content, and answers to application questions. You control which information is saved and used.

Job and website content

When you use the extension on a job or application page, it may process the page URL, job title, company, job description, compensation and location details, form labels, form values, and application status. Certain user-initiated workflows may capture a screenshot or structured snapshot of an application form to preserve context, identify questions, or support autofill.

Chat and generated content

We process prompts, chat messages, generated answers, and tailored resumes when you use AI-assisted features. Job-linked chat history may also be stored locally by the extension.

Technical information

We may process extension and browser version information, timestamps, supported platform identifiers, authentication events, and error or diagnostic details needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

2. How we use information

Authenticate users and maintain sessions.
Save and organize jobs and application activity.
Generate, tailor, save, and export resumes.
Detect application fields and assist with autofill.
Generate suggested answers to application questions.
Synchronize the extension with your workspace.
Provide support, diagnose errors, and improve reliability.
Prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

3. Artificial intelligence processing

Some features use third-party AI providers. Information necessary to fulfill your request—such as job descriptions, profile details, resume content, application questions, and your instructions—may be sent to an AI provider to generate the requested result. We do not intentionally send passwords or authentication credentials to AI providers.

AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate. You should review all generated resumes, answers, and autofilled information before using or submitting them.

4. Chrome extension permissions

Storage: saves settings, authentication state, chat history, and temporary job or application context.
Tabs and active tab: identifies and communicates with the job or application page you are using.
Side panel: displays the primary extension interface.
Scripting and website access: captures job information, detects fields, and provides autofill across employer sites and applicant-tracking systems.
Clipboard: copies content only when you request a copy action.
Web navigation: maintains extension context across multi-step and iframe-based application flows.
Alarms: helps background operations finish reliably when Chrome suspends the extension service worker.

Broad website access is required because job postings and application forms are hosted on many unrelated employer and applicant-tracking domains. It is not used to build an unrelated browsing history or advertising profile.

5. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share information with hosting, database, authentication, infrastructure, security, and AI service providers only as necessary to operate the service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not use personal information for targeted advertising or transfer browsing activity to advertising networks.

6. User control and data retention

You choose when to save a job, generate content, copy text, autofill fields, or update application status. You can edit or remove saved information, sign out, or uninstall the extension at any time.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Uninstalling the extension removes extension-local data according to Chrome’s behavior, but does not delete information already stored in your workspace.

7. Security and international processing

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, authentication controls, restricted system access, and secure handling of API credentials. No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

8. Children’s privacy

Job Bidding Copilot is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or request a copy of your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

10. Third-party websites

The extension operates on third-party job boards, employer websites, and applicant-tracking systems. We do not control those services. Information you submit directly to them is governed by their respective privacy policies.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service or legal obligations change. We will revise the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
